Designed by architect Luiz Volpato, the construction project for Santos FC's new multi-purpose arena has been approved by the City Council.

On Friday (8), at the Santos City Hall, the City Council officially announced the approval of the project to build the new Santos Futebol Clube arena. The ceremony brought together important names involved in the initiative, such as mayor Rogério Santos, federal deputy Paulo Alexandre Barbosa, club president Marcelo Teixeira, WTorre's New Business director Luiz Otávio Alves and architect Luiz Volpato.
The author of the project, Volpato celebrates this important milestone, which precedes the start of construction. "This approval signifies the technical validation of our design decisions. Based on high-quality architecture, we designed a space to revive all the giant potential of the Santos Futebol Clube brand and respect its place, its neighborhood and its city," explains the architect.
He adds that his proposal combines tradition and technology in a multi-purpose arena that pays homage to the legacy of Santos and offers support for investors. Peixe's new home will be built on the same site as the Urbano Caldeira Stadium, in Vila Belmiro, in an area of approximately 68,000 m², with capacity for more than 30,000 people.
